I’M Chris Brown
I am a Amateur landscape photographer from Sheffield. As a latecomer to landscape photography, not picking up a camera till early 2019 which by then I was in my late 30’s it has quickly become a hobby I love. I realised I love being outdoors and in the midst of nature and a camera by my side. With the Peak District being on my door step it makes this hobby that much more accessible. This journey has helped me make new friends and gave me an appreciation for the outdoors.
Starting out with a Nikon L820 bridge camera I quickly jumped into a DSLR purchasing the Nikon D5300, and numerous lenses. This took my photography to the next level especially when I got out of auto mode. The D5300 worked well for my first full year in photography but I soon wanted more. Deciding where to go as my next camera was a hard decision, do I stick with Nikon and go maybe with the Z6 or move to another brand. After lots of deliberating I decided on the Canon EOS R with a 24-105 f/4 to get me going, which was soon followed by the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary for my wildlife needs.
I also started a Youtube channel late 2019 which covers a few photo walks and gear reviews. The channel is in its infancy so don’t expect quality video editing and content haha.
